About

Tools, apps, and games for the Pip-Boy community

Pip-Boy.com is a home base for Pip-Boy tools, companion apps, holotapes, games, and simulators. It is a place for fans to find what they need, get a project unstuck, and see what other vault dwellers are working on. Start with the open source projects and community links below, whether you're here to build something, play around, get a hand from the community, or discover new ways to bring your Pip-Boy to life.

Built In The Open

Pip-Boy.com was created and is maintained by Cody Tolene, who works on the website as a hobby project. It started as a set of tools to help people make the most of their Pip-Boys from The Wand Company, as well as create Pip-Boy inspired simulators that could be used offline on phones at conventions after the official app was removed from app stores. Over time, it grew into a place for tools and projects the community wanted, including holotape games, UI customizations, custom radio station support, and other ways to get more out of these devices while helping keep interest in The Wand Company's products alive.

A Community Effort

None of this stays interesting for long without people to share it with. The Discord and forum are where vault dwellers ask questions, swap ideas, test new tools, report bugs, share screenshots, and compare notes on what we are building. It is also where people trade tips, help troubleshoot weird issues, and show off the discoveries that make these projects more fun. It is a great community, and if you run into something strange, there is a good chance someone has been down that road before and is happy to help. Join our Vault today!

Hire Me

Pip-Boy.com started as a hobby project, but it has become one of the best examples of how I like to build things. It brings together Angular, TypeScript, open source tools, device focused web apps, community features, and systems I can keep improving over time. I use this site to keep learning, ship useful tools, support the Pip-Boy community, and show the kind of product work I care about. If you are hiring for Angular, TypeScript, full stack web development, embedded friendly interfaces, or product engineering, the links below are a good place to see what I have been working on.
